Petunias & Knockouts

Petunias & Knockouts 7.5x9.5 (unframed) 

I painted "Petunias & Knockouts" from fresh flowers cut from my garden in a favorite blue and white vase. Under the lamp, all the colors "sang". I love the pairing of orange and hot pink, so warm, so strong, so "unlikely" to work, yet perfectly beautiful. Alongside shades of blue for coolness and contrast, this painting is a winner in my mind.
